With Glasgow conveniently placed next to the Clyde, we have access to some of the best cruising waters in the whole of the UK.
Cruising
Unfortunately with the demise of Sunsail in Scotland, the regular cruise took a hiatus this year. Instead we all went down to Galloway sailing centre and dominated the place. Despite the lack of a real sailing experience, it ended up being a pretty epic weekend, trust me!
Next year we hope to go on an actual cruise, we have scoped out the possibility of going with other companies. This may possibly be a trip up north to Tobermory. A cruise in the Med is in planning at the moment, so watch this space!
Fleet Racing
Unfortunately with the end of Sunsail in Scotland came the end of the SUSA yachting event. (Whether we would have been allowed back is another story...) To compensate for this, Glasgow is sending a team down to BUSA yachting at Easter, with the added bonus that the top placed Scottish team qualifies for the student worlds!
Match Racing
Glasgow has entered SUSA match racing since its conception, success has been varied... but the idea is that if the team is strong enough we enter for BUSA match racing later on in the year.
