Are you a good sailor but even better at wreaking havoc? If so then the Glasgow University Sailing Club is for you!!

Our WEEKLY SOCIALS take place on Wednesdays from 8.30pm onwards in our sponsor club Viper. Regular attendance on your part is not only likely but highly encouraged as a way of preventing the most dreaded FOMO (fear of missing out).

In addition to our weekly Wednesday night socials we have some absolute ragers planned including subcrawls, centurions, wine and cheese nights and the infamously messy league weekends. Brace yourself—we’ve got an absolutely massive social calendar in the works.

Here’s what we’ve got planned so far:

15 SEPT 2011: Welcome drinks at VIPER from 6pm onwards after the Taster Day at Bardowie.

23 SEPT 2011: WINE & CHEESE!! Mine and Charlie’s flat on Cranworth Street... VIPER will inevitably follow. Pay a fiver, get a bottle of wine of your choosing, copious amounts of cheese and crackers and of course sparkling conversation (degenerating quickly into hillaaaarious mindless chat). In this vein we like to spruce up a bit for this social, shirts for the lads, dresses for the ladies please.

28 SEPT 2011: First massive social. We will introduce you all to the delights of 1 pound Wednesdays in Vipes. This will make and break your university career. Expect mess.

1st & 2nd OCT 2011: Boozecruise. (For more details see here )

12 OCT 2011: Big Brother/Big Sister Social. We’ll show you the ropes.. literally. You’ll be assigned a big brother or sister and be tied to them for the night.This will be our first joint social with the tech (although some of you might have had the pleasure of making their acquaintance in Open sailing). Here we are ambassadors for the great institution that is our University, our mission is to have MORE FUN! Obvs VIPER to follow.
